Website Terms of Use

Effective 19 May 2026

These terms govern your use of the Ledger Bee Accounting website at ledgerbee.co.nz (the “site”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Ledger Bee Accounting (“Ledger Bee”, “we”, “us”) is a New Zealand bookkeeping practice based in New Zealand and contactable at info@ledgerbee.co.nz.

1. The site is informational

The site describes the bookkeeping and advisory services we offer, shares articles and guides, lists Inland Revenue Department (IRD) forms, and lets you contact us or book a free introductory call.

Content on the site is provided for general information only. It is not financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice and you should not rely on it as a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Tax rules, rates, and forms change. While we update the site regularly, we cannot guarantee that every page is current at every moment.

2. Contacting us or booking a call is not an engagement

Submitting an enquiry, booking a free consultation, or otherwise reaching out to us through the site does not create a client relationship and does not commit either of us to anything. A formal engagement begins only when we have agreed on scope and fees and you have signed our engagement letter. Until then, please do not send us confidential or sensitive information beyond what is needed for an initial conversation.

3. Information you provide

You agree that any information you submit through our forms is true, accurate, and your own to share. Please do not submit information about other people without their knowledge, and please do not use our forms to send unsolicited marketing, abusive content, or anything unlawful.

We may decline to respond to enquiries that appear to be spam, bot traffic, or otherwise unwelcome. We use server-side rate limits and basic anti-spam measures to protect the forms.

How we handle the information you submit is set out in our Privacy Policy.

4. Bookings, cancellations, and meetings

Where you book a free introductory call through the site, the booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email and a calendar invite from us. The meeting is normally a short video call hosted on Google Meet, using the link in the calendar invite.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so as early as you can by replying to the confirmation email. We may, occasionally, need to move a booking ourselves, in which case we will offer you an alternative time at no cost or inconvenience.

Initial consultations are free and exploratory. They are not a paid service and nothing said in them is bookkeeping, tax, or accounting advice you can rely on without a formal engagement.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the site, including text, graphics, logos, icons, the Ledger Bee name and bee/honeycomb branding, page layouts, and the underlying code, is owned by Ledger Bee Accounting or used under licence. It is protected by New Zealand and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may view the site, share links to it, and print or save pages for your own personal or internal business reference. You may not copy, republish, adapt, or use our content commercially without our written permission. Third-party trademarks (for example Xero, Google, IRD) belong to their respective owners.

6. External links and third-party services

The site links to third-party websites, including the IRD, Xero, and others. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control those websites, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

Some features of the site (booking, email, video calls) rely on third-party services from Google. Their availability is outside our control. If a service is temporarily unavailable, please contact us directly by email or phone.

7. Reviews and testimonials

Reviews and testimonials shown on the site are from real clients and are published with their consent. Names and roles may be shortened for readability. Your results from working with us may differ from the experience described in any given review.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledger Bee makes no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of the content on the site.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledger Bee, its owner, and its contractors will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or any reliance on its content. This includes loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, or business interruption.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where those Acts apply and cannot be contracted out of. If you are acquiring services from us for the purposes of a business, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act does not apply.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or remove parts of the site at any time without notice.

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be at this URL and the effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

11. Contact
